Multiple unknown gunmen who abducted Ilorin’s Sarkin Fulani, Usman Adamu Hardo, at around 8:00 am on Thursday September 3 near Ilorin University Teaching Hospital in Ilorin.
The Sarkin Fulani was allegedly in his car with his son Babangida on his way to the bank when some gunmen in a vehicle barricaded their way.
To Daily Faith, an eyewitness;
“They asked him to get out of his own vehicle to follow them. When they abducted him, I discovered he was bringing some cash to bank.
“His vehicle was later recovered to the inside with his cell, it was with the police right now.”
The wife of Usman, Hajiya Aina’u Usaman who reported his abduction said that the kidnappers wear kaftan and spoke hausa.
“They did not go with Babangida (his son). He has come back home.
“He told us that it was three of the gunmen that came out of their vehicle and forced my husband to join them in their car.
“He pleaded with them to collect the money with him and set him free, but they refused, telling him that they have been looking for him for so long.
“They spoke Hausa language with their faces covered and they were wearing kaftan.”
She also announced that her husband is dealing with several unspecified health problems, and urged his rescue.
